Most couples have spent the past year going on mini-breaks to the local park and ordering exotic delicacies (read: the fancy pizza option) via Ubereats. But Nicole Scherzinger and Thom Evans are not most couples. In fact, over the past year, the loved-up pair appear to have accrued more air miles than the entire population of the UK combined, embarking on a whistlestop tour around the world that still shows no sign of slowing down. Seriously, it’s like they have sponsorship deals with every tourism board from here to Timbuktu (although, let it be known, they have yet to travel to Timbuktu).
Let’s cast our minds back to the first lockdown over one year ago, when we were all suddenly stuck at home, and every other celebrity decided to show us their home workout routines. Nicole and Thom – who met on the set of The X Factor: Celebrity in November 2019 – were front and centre in the UK, flexing and stretching every day in the garden, and insisting they were otherwise doing mundane things like the laundry and washing up. But clearly, that got old very quickly, and they were soon heading for the sunnier climes of LA. And then, there was just no stopping them…. n
Hands up if you’re having an awesome time
From LA, they flew to Portugal for the double whammy celebration of Nicole’s 42nd birthday and a reunion with Thom’s parents, who live there permanently. Bet Nicole just loved having to be on her best behaviour for her big day.
Every day was a garden party
Nicole and Thom hunkered down as soon as Boris gave the word, and got busy with their home workouts, Tiktok dance routines, and slightly cringeworthy singing duets. Soon after, they fled to self-isolate at Nicole’s LA gaff.
California dreaming
Can you believe it – they were still in California? But Thom and Nic proved you can staycay in style, going heavy on the PDAS across LA and Malibu and house-hunting for a new love nest.
Just because they were back in LA didn’t mean they couldn’t squeeze in a quick mini-break – heading to Yosemite National Park for some Insta-worthy hiking and posing up mountains. Sure beats the local park.
Caribbean Queen
Hey, if you just spent an inordinate amount of time with the in-laws, you’d need a holiday, too, and Nicole was no exception. She and Thom flew to St Lucia, where they got busy posing on paddleboards and not making us jealous.
Off to Nicole’s tropical home state for another celebration: Thom’s 36th birthday. The couple marked the occasion by – you guessed it – posing up a storm and taking loved-up pictures beneath waterfalls. We’re still not jealous one bit.
Hot ’n’ wet
By now, they really needed another holiday, so they flew to the Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos and celebrated their official one-year anniversary by taking a billion sunkissed selfies.
