Harry & Olivia slow it down
They’ve reportedly pumped the brakes
They started 2021 as early contenders for couple of the year, after being pictured holding hands at a showbiz wedding. And, for a while, it seemed like Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde were getting serious, after reportedly going house-hunting together and flying to London so Harry could meet Olivia’s kids, Otis, six, and Daisy, four, who are staying with their dad, Olivia’s ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis, while he’s filming in the UK. And, even though they were seen enjoying a night out at a London pub last week, we’re told things aren’t so great, which Jason is pretty pleased about.
“Jason’s strategy from the get-go was to let the passion between Harry and Olivia fizzle out,” says an insider close to the actor, who – as heat has told you – was gutted to see his ex move on so fast. Jason and Olivia announced they’d split in November, and while Olivia has said their relationship ended in early 2020, his camp insist it ended after she met Harry. “Harry and Olivia aren’t done just yet, but they’re just trying to have fun at the moment without worrying about the future. He was pretty spooked at how things got so intense so quickly, and she’s reluctantly agreed to slow things down.”
Olivia, 37, met Harry, 27, when she cast him in her new movie Don’t Worry Darling. As filming wrapped in February, Olivia posted a gushing Insta tribute to his acting prowess (she’s a big fan of his “humility and grace”, as well as his “talent and warmth”), but it’s all been a bit quiet recently.
