If you listen to Louis Theroux’s excellent Grounded podcast, you’ll have heard his recent chat with his cousin, actor Justin Theroux (The Leftovers), who revealed that he’d been filming a new series based on the classic novel The Mosquito Coast, written by none other than Louis’ dad Paul. That’s quite a lot of Therouxs. Now, the seven-parter is about to arrive on Appletv+, and it’s a fascinating project oozing class and quality. The show is created and co-written by Neil Cross, of Luther fame, and follows the dangerous journey of radical inventor Allie Fox (Theroux), who uproots his family when they find themselves on the run from the US government in Central America.
