Miami’s done wonders for Posh as she shows off a sexy new look – and David’s loving it

She’s loosened up in the Miami sun – and David’s loving it

It’s amazing what a bit of sunshine and a stripped-back schedule can do, isn’t it? Take Victoria Beckham: for more than 20 years, she’s fostered the image of someone who takes things very seriously, rarely smiling in photos and never having a dress-down day. But since temporarily moving to Miami in December with the rest of the Beckham brood, she’s been a totally different Vicky B. The power suits and sky-high heels have been replaced with floaty dresses and *gulp* flats. She’s also been smiling more in photos and generally just seeming a lot more laid-back. According to insiders, living in the Sunshine State has done Posh the world of good, as it’s finally forced her to loosen up and reassess her priorities. And it’s having an excellent knock-on effect on her marriage.

“Miami has been an eye-opener for Vic,” says an insider close to the star, who relocated to Florida with David and their four kids – Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 18, Cruz, 16, and nineyear-old Harper (plus their future daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz, 26) – so that David could continue working with his football team Inter Miami. “Being away from her London office has meant she’s had to delegate more, meaning she’s had more free time to relax and enjoy life. She’d now much rather be at the beach with the kids, than stuck inside working all day. Living in Miami has thrown that carefully managed life into disarray, and it’s been the best thing that’s happened to her.”

As heat has told you, VB has faced constant stress in London when it comes to her fashion and beauty empire, which recently reported losses of £16.5million. Our insider says that when she was in the UK, she was working non-stop and stressing out, but now she’s across the pond, we’re told she’s adopted a “what will be, will be” approach – and her laissez-faire

attitude has rubbed off on those around her. Apparently, David, 45, can’t get enough of his wife’s newfound zen. And her similarly laid-back wardrobe has also proved a hit. “It’s definitely put a more of spark into their marriage,” says the insider. “Victoria’s more present and less uptight about work – she’s now more likely to spontaneously throw on a pair of trainers and go for a casual walk with David. He’s loving it and has never fancied her more.”

Meanwhile, it’s not just the Florida sun that’s been giving Victoria a new lease of life. According to our source, her recent birthday – she turned 47 last week – has been a major watershed moment for her. Apparently, she’s feeling “more comfortable in her skin” than ever before – and rather than fighting against the clock, she’s embracing it with open arms. “For the past 20 years, she’s been out to prove she’s perfect,” says our source. “She used to be militant with her exercise routine, diet and productivity levels.

But that’s exhausting. As she gets closer to turning 50, she feels she can enter this new chapter in life, one that will suit her more and where she can be more comfortable in her own skin.”

Last week, Vic announced that her fashion brand’s flagship store in London was back open for business – which could potentially mean she’ll be back in the capital to oversee things sooner rather than later. Here’s hoping she manages to maintain her cool Miami vibe along the way, and returns to the UK a much more chilled-out Posh. n
