J-lo’s mum moves in with Bennifer
There are no third wheels around here
No, it’s not a scene from Jennifer Lopez’s 2005 film Monster-inlaw – the singer’s mum really is moving in with her daughter and boyfriend, Ben Affleck. But insiders say – to everyone’s surprise – the actor doesn’t mind. The celebrity couple, who reunited last July after almost 20 years apart, have told friends they can’t wait for Guadalupe Lopez to join them in their L A love nest, where she’ll help the couple with cooking, cleaning, and even a spot of relationship counselling.
“Guadalupe is moving in with the couple and becoming their personal housekeeper,” says an insider close to Bennifer, who first dated in 2002, after meeting on the set of Gigli. “Jen and Ben are not exactly big on homemaking. They put too much effort into their professional lives to be concerned with cooking or cleaning, whereas that’s Guadalupe’s specialty. She loves doing special little things to make her daughter’s houses feel more like a home.”
Jen, 52, has always been superclose to her mum, recently taking to Instagram to pay tribute to “Lupe” on her 76th birthday. Alongside a video montage of special family moments, Jen credited her mum with helping her, “fulfil so many of my dreams, and so many more to go”. And it looks like Ben, 49, is just as close to Lupe, hanging out with his mother-in-law in Vegas during the summer without Jen. The actor even gave Lupe a cameo in an advert he recently appeared in for a sports app. “Guadalupe adores her future son-in-law and really wants him and Jen to work out this time around,” says heat’s source. “She wants to be there for both of them as a confidante, as well as everything else. Her moving in is a win-win for everyone.” ■
