The BBC and ITV’S joint venture Britbox adds to its roster of original content, by delivering a brand new crime drama, based on the 2016 Anthony Horowitz novel. Much like the novel, this series is structured as a murder mystery within a murder mystery, spanning two time periods – the 1950s and modern-day Britain – with the cast portraying multiple characters in different literary dimensions. When book editor Susan Ryeland (Lesley Manville, Mum) receives the latest manuscript from her bestselling mystery writer Alan Conway (Conleth Hill, Game Of Thrones), which features his popular detective Atticus Pünd (Tim Mcmullan, Foyle’s War), she realises the story is unfinished.
