Magazine columnist Cleo writes about love, but it’s been a while since she’s experienced any – at least not in the romantic sense. Now single and staring down the barrel of 30, Cleo is only too happy to escape to the remote Salvation Island off the coast of Ireland for some solitude. When she arrives at the tiny cottage, however, she finds Boston-born Mac already in residence, and with neither willing to leave and no ferries for a week, the pair have no choice but to bunk up and make do, despite taking an instant dislike to one another. Bursting with warmth, charm and genuine humour, this is romcom writing at its most delightful. ★★★★
