She announces news on cute video
Former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke shared the happy news with fans last week that she’s expecting her first baby. The singer posted a video to Instagram, which showed her on a dog walk with boyfriend Darren Randolph. In the emotional video, shared on Valentine’s Day, footballer Darren was seen bending down to kiss Alexandra’s baby bump. She confirmed the news by captioning the video, “Due June 2022”.
The 33 year old began dating West Ham goalie Darren, 34, in April 2021, not long after she’d split with her previous footballer beau Angus Mcdonald in October 2020. At the time, she was said to have sworn off dating footballers, but Darren clearly swept her off her feet and the
pair often share loved-up pictures with fans, and chose the red carpet to go official at the September premiere of Dune. The pair have already had some practise as parents – they share five dogs, who often join them in their social media snaps.
The singer’s celebrity pals were thrilled to hear her baby news, and shared their well wishes on her Instagram post. Pixie Lott enthused, “Oh wowowww! Massive congratulations!”, Jamelia wrote, “Congratulations Mama”, and model Daisy Lowe added, “Oh my goodness!!! So excited for you”. ■
