This new true-crime series focuses on the rise in “stranger murders” – when people are killed by someone they’ve never met. Last year, a total of 177 people were murdered by strangers in England and Wales and 1,372 in the US, and some of those shocking stories will be told in this series. Each episode explores the facts surrounding a murder committed by a complete stranger, recounting the disturbing events and circumstances leading up to that fatal moment. In this opening episode, a young woman, Yingying Zhang, misses her bus and is offered a lift by a man posing as a policeman. The encounter sadly leads to her horrific murder. ★★★★
