Of all the many Star Trekrelated reboots, revivals and spin-offs, the first series of Picard, featuring Patrick Stewart as iconic Captain Jean-luc Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation was one of the most accessible and entertaining, even for a non-trekkie. Now, over two years later, here’s the new, second season, which is also bringing back Whoopi Goldberg in the role of Guinan from The Next Generation. The new ten-part run features Picard and his crew journeying into the past – 21st Century planet Earth to be precise – where they get embroiled in a race against time to save the galaxy’s future. ★★★★
