One Sunday afternoon, Holly and Jessica seemed to disappear without trace in the Cambridgeshire town of Soham. A 14-day police hunt followed, alongside a desperate search that ended tragically when Holly and Jessica’s bodies were discovered in a ditch close to the town. Tonight’s opening film documents those 14 days in great detail, with access to several people at the heart of the investigation, the scientists who hunted for evidence and the legal team who ultimately convicted local college caretaker Ian Huntley for Holly and Jessica’s murders. ★★★★
