Madonna’s kids beg: ‘NO MORE SURGERY’

Fans are shocked at latest pictures of the star

When Madonna sang Frozen in 1998, little did she know how much the word would come back to haunt her more than 20 years later. As the singer stepped out last week for dinner with 21-year-old son Rocco Ritchie, her excessively youthful-looking, super-smooth face had everyone thinking she’d gone way too far on holding back the decades.

While we’re told the 63-yearold pop icon seems to be more than happy to fight off ageing with surgery, it seems her kids have something to say about it. “Lourdes [her eldest daughter], Rocco and the other kids used to tiptoe around this subject with their mum, but now it’s reached the stage that they’re getting concerned about her,” our source says of the pop star, who is also mum to David, 16, Mercy, 15, and eight-year-old twins Stella and Esther. “For Madonna, youth has always equalled power, and she’d rather look anything other than old, even if it causes controversy – she’s used to that.”

Always known for pushing the boundaries, Madonna’s Instagram content has become more and more racy of late, with lots of outrageous S&m-themed outfits and highly processed images, but some fans aren’t so keen on the approach their idol takes to her looks. “We love the fantasy but damn, the amount of editing on this photo is crazy,” one commented on a recent post, while another wrote, “I’m sorry but no 63 year old can possibly look like that even with surgery. You need to stop Photoshopping yourself, it’s unhealthy and sends people the message it’s wrong to age.”

But as our source tells us, Madge – who has never publicly admitted to having surgery – feels she has to maintain the image we all fell in love with in the ’80s. “The level of pressure she’s under is unimaginable,” says the insider. “She isn’t ready to give up making music – it’s what she loves – but the whole industry is so youth-focused. On top of that, she has her biopic coming up, a much younger boyfriend [Ahlamalik Williams, 27], and the personal pressure she puts on herself to be a glamorous figure. Her entire identity is tied to being ‘Madonna’, and the idea of losing that is unthinkable. That’s why the only hope for change is via her kids. She doesn’t want to hear it, but they won’t let it go.”
