‘She can’t wait to celebrate’
She’s been absolutely running her pregnancy game with her showstopping maternity wear – but, according to insiders, Rihanna is just getting started. Apparently, the singer is preparing herself for a delivery in her native Barbados that is every bit as glam as she is, and she’s not sparing any expense. And can you blame her? As someone who’s legendary for always making an entrance, it’s only right that her mini-me follows suit.
“As far as Rihanna is concerned, the day she becomes a mother will be the most important in her life,” says an insider close to the 33 year old, who’s expecting her first child with partner A$AP Rocky. The couple haven’t confirmed how far along she is, but – judging by her bump – fans have speculated that she’s due to give birth in the spring.
The source continues, “She wants it to be as magical as possible. She’ll have the people she cares most about with her, including her mum Monica, and her best friend from childhood, Sonita Alexander, who’s a doctor, and who she wants to deliver the baby. The plan is to make this a celebratory affair from start to finish.”
According to our source, Ri-ri is adamant that she’ll give birth in Barbados, and is hoping that she will be able to do so at her $22million mansion in the luxury Sandy Lane resort – which, of course, will be filled with every possible birthing gadget and pampering product available. “She’s planning to have a full birthing suite and all the equipment installed, including a big water tub,” we’re told. “She’s saying she’ll have the best of both words because she’ll have her baby at home, but with all the safety of a hospital. She’s going to have all the important women in her life there and spa treatments, manis and pedis will all be available while they wait. Ri will also be getting regular pregnancy massages and vitamin IVS to make sure she’s getting every single nutrient her baby needs, as well as all the food she’s been craving – including Italian food and plenty of sugary treats. Money won’t be an issue – she’s ensuring all equipment and assistance is the best of the best.”
Meanwhile, we’re told that the delivery is just the beginning. Following the birth, Rihanna’s planning a five-star knees-up. “She’s going to throw a big lavish beach party, and will also hold other get-togethers at her place and at a nearby resort,” says our insider. “She can’t wait to celebrate alongside all her favourite people and is determined to make this epic.”
