The singer’s already started arranging the nursery
We’ve heard more from Britney Spears in the last year than in the previous 14 combined – and one subject she’s brought up time and again is her desire to have another baby. Now, the singer’s told friends she doesn’t want to wait any longer and is already making plans to get pregnant with her fiancé Sam Asghari. In fact, we hear she’s already started crib shopping…
“Britney has babies on the brain big time,” says an insider close to the 40 year old, who is already mum to Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, from her marriage to Kevin Federline. “She’s wanted to have kids with Sam for years, so now she’s finally free to make it happen she can hardly contain her excitement. In a perfect world, she would love to have twins – a girl and a boy – it’s something she’s always dreamed of. “She’s given herself a deadline of summer to get pregnant before she tries IVF or hires a surrogate, but she’s not waiting. She’s already started crib shopping and setting up a nursery in her home, plus she’s interviewing nannies. She and Sam have worked out her most fertile times, and she’s taking folic acid, plus prenatal vitamins. They’re telling everyone it’s a foregone conclusion that they’ll be holding one – if not two – babies in their arms within a year.”
The Baby One More Time singer whipped up serious speculation last week, sharing a Tiktok video of a baby bump and adding the comment, “Mommy… get me out of here !!!!!! ” It’s not the first time the star – who announced her engagement to 28year-old Sam back in September – has hinted at her broodiness. She first mentioned it in court last year, saying, “I want to be able to get married and have a baby.” Then last month, she wished her PT beau a happy birthday on Instagram, writing,
“I want a family with you.” Sam replied enigmatically, “Millions of things to wish for, I only have one wish.” Britney also told fans, “Planning on having babies in Polynesia”, during a recent holiday. Last week, she referenced her teen boys in another post, writing, “My boys got bigger… They don’t need me any more.”
Our insider adds, “Britney was young when she had her kids. She knows this is going to be a very dierent experience. This time, she wants it to be peaceful and mindful. She’s reading new research on parenting styles, and watching videos about having kids later in life. She’s determined to do everything right and it’s all she talks about.” ■
