The actor takes on the task of turning around the lives of eight young people, having been inspired by how a local boxing club transformed a community of young people in South Africa. Idris hears each person’s unique and personal story, then helps them improve their future with an intensive course of boxing training. The idea is to equip them with new life skills like discipline, ambition and mental resilience, with the ultimate goal being for them to compete in an official amateur fight at an iconic boxing venue in just five months. Among the impressive line-up of contenders are 18-year-old Naeem, who struggles with self-discipline, and latecomer Chanika whose arrival at Fight School has been delayed by her COVID and pneumonia.
