CHERYL FERGISON: ‘I’M STILL WITH MY MOROCCAN TOYBOY’

Maybe you were one of the naysayers – maybe we even were – but the fact remains, Cheryl Fergison has proven everyone wrong. The Eastenders actress, best known for playing loveable Heather Trott in the soap for five years, spoke out last week about

public opinion towards her marriage to Moroccan toyboy, Yassine el Jamouni, saying, “People think it’s got to be a con, it’s got to be a problem. But I say, ‘It hasn’t got to be anything. Just stop it!’”

The couple, who are now celebrating eleven years together, first met online back in 2010, with Cheryl, 56, travelling to meet the 30-yearold shopkeeper in Agadir. They married in June 2011 and are happier than ever. “It works for us,” says Chez. “He’ll do romantic gestures, but in his own time. He’ll never be told to do something. So, when he does do something it comes from the heart.” ■
