Known these days as one of Ireland’s greatest living actors, it’s hard to imagine Jonathan, now 44, in need of a big break. But he got one in BILB playing the team’s no-nonsense coach, Joe – and Jess’ love interest – whose own footballing career was derailed by an injury. In the years afterwards, Jonathan appeared in Woody Allen’s Match Point, Mission: Impossible III before starring as Henry VIII in epic series The Tudors.
