Poor old Gail Platt/potter/ Tilsley/hillman/mcintyre/ Rodwell has earned her place on this list, mostly thanks to that endless parade of disastrous marriages. Since Helen joined Coronation Street in 1974, playing Audrey’s daughter with the Farrah hair, she’s been married five times, most notably to Tricky Dicky, who tried to kill her whole family, and to Michael (Les Dennis), who burgled her home.
