When this series about a vicar helping the local village detective with his investigations first arrived in 2014, few imagined it would still be going after seven series. But it has somehow weathered the loss of its big star, James Norton, and this most recent season begins in the long hot summer of 1959, when DI Keating (Robson Green) has a range of local murder cases to deal with.
