FINALLY BEING A MOM? THAT’S HOT!
Paris Hilton shocked the world last week when she introduced us to her new baby boy. With an Instagram picture of his tiny hand in her impeccably manicured one, Paris wrote the words, “You are already loved beyond words” alongside a blue heart emoji.
The 41 year old – who married entrepreneur Carter Reum in 2021 after two years of dating – confirmed they’d used a surrogate, and has previously spoken about going through the process of egg retrieval during the pandemic.
“We started doing it a few months in because the world was shut down,” she told People magazine in the US. “We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, ‘This is perfect timing. Usually, I’m on a plane 250 days out of the year. Let’s just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,’ and we have tons of them just waiting.”
Paris revealed in a previous interview that it was showbiz pal Kim Kardashian who had introduced her to the idea of having a baby via a surrogate. “I’m happy she told me advice and introduced me to her doctor,” she said at the time, explaining that they’d embarked on IVF, so that she could “pick twins if I like”.
Paris and Carter have known each other for over a decade, but started dating in 2019 after reconnecting at a Thanksgiving lunch with their families. The heiress said they had discussed having kids from the beginning of their relationship because she believes that having a family “is the meaning of life”, adding, “I haven’t got to experience that yet, because I didn’t feel like anybody deserved that love from me, and now I finally found the person who does.” ■
