VANESSA MOVES ON FROM ‘CHEATING’ BEN
SHE’S MANAGED TO TURN THINGS AROUND…
They’d proven naysayers wrong throughout their 16-year relationship – often boasting of romantic gestures and their spicy sex life – but Vanessa Feltz and fiancé Ben Ofoedu have called it quits after the Phats & Small star reportedly cheated on the presenter with “several women”.
Posting on Instagram for the first time since their break-up, Vanessa – who’s ten years older than the pop star – revealed, “I’m obviously incredibly sad and I’m pretty disappointed and shocked and all those horrible things.”
It has been reported that Vanessa discovered emails and social media messages that alerted her to Ben’s behaviour – which allegedly took place while he toured UK holiday parks with his band, with a source claiming, “He has cheated copiously, all over the place, exposing her to all sorts.”
Luckily, the agony aunt has been able to take her own advice and look on the bright side, saying, “It’s onwards and upwards and I firmly believe that the best is yet to come.”
She continued, “I hear that Kylie Minogue is single again, so I’m in good company – if she wants to hit the town, hook me up!”
Vanessa was previously married to surgeon Michael Kurer – with whom she has two daughters – but they divorced in 2000 when he left the family home after allegedly cheating. Vanessa met Ben through mutual friend Keith Duffy from Boyzone in 2005 and the pair got engaged the following year.
Despite admitting her “heart had snapped into a million pieces”, Vanessa said last week, “[I’m] also full of resolve, because I’m not going to let this defeat me… I want to find fun and laughter anywhere I can, and I know it’s not going to be easy, but I’m absolutely determined to do it.” ■
