The make-up artist wants Hurley to walk her down the aisle
Any dog person will tell you that your pooch is 100 per cent a member of your family. And no one knows that better than Lisa Armstrong, whose chocolate Labrador Hurley – AKA “Mama’s baby boy” – helped her through the end of her 23-year marriage to Ant Mcpartlin. And now that the make-up artist has found new love with
James Green, and is looking ahead to a wedding, of course Hurley is number one on that guest list.
“Lisa has always said Hurley is one of the most important people in her life,” says an insider close to Strictly Come Dancing’s head make-up artist, who’s been with electrician
James, 39, for three years. “He has been there through everything, he’s been her biggest support. So, it’s a no brainer that when her and James get married, Hurley will play a huge role in their special day. They’ve joked about him being the ring bearer or even having Hurley walk Lisa down the aisle.”
Lisa, 46, and James have been increasingly loved-up on Insta recently, with the Glow Up judge calling James “my love” in a Valentine’s Day post earlier this month. And sources say they are set to make things official, telling us, “The wedding is not imminent – they’re not engaged yet – but they have talked about the type of day they would have. It would obviously be very animal friendly – Hurley has to be there. It would also be a lot more relaxed than her first wedding to Ant, which was a huge celeb-filled bash. Lisa feels so lucky to have met James. She wants it to be all about celebrating them as a couple and those who have supported them over the years. Especially after the last month, as she’s dealt with yet more Ant drama.”
As heat reported, Lisa has been dragged into headlines about her presenter ex again in recent weeks, after it was revealed they were back at war over custody of Hurley. Insiders claimed the doting

dog mum had been left “absolutely distraught” by Ant’s refusal to let her have full custody, despite him being married with stepkids and two other pooches now. “Hurley is more than a dog to Lisa,” says the insider. “He’s her best friend and she couldn’t imagine getting married without him by her side. The recent battle with Ant over him has brought her even closer to Hurley and she just wants to spend all the time she can with him.” n
