Smug Gwyneth’s VICTORY TOUR
She is wishing herself very well
Her ski-crash court case dominated headlines and swiftly made her meme fodder, thanks to her inadvertently funny one-liners. And Gwyneth Paltrow’s legal victory last month – which saw her cleared of all culpability for a skiing accident in 2016 – has not only been a huge boost for her personally, but professionally, too. Her wellness and lifestyle brand Goop is slated to reap the rewards of her triumph, as worldwide searches for the company have skyrocketed by 195 per cent.
And now an insider close to the 50 year old tells heat, “Gwyneth’s taking a lot of comfort from all the congratulatory messages and positive reviews about how she handled herself at the trial – she’s really patting herself on the back. Getting Goop on track is her numberone priority, and improving her own status goes hand in hand with it. She wants to savour this victory and bring Goop to a whole new audience.”
Oscar-winning star Gwyneth was sued by retired optometrist Terry Sanderson for a 2016 ski crash in Utah, after he claimed he was left with brain damage, but a jury found that she was not liable. On leaving court, she placed her hand on Terry’s back and said, “I wish you well.” Our insider adds, “This case was extremely tough on Gwyneth. She was worried sick that if she lost the case, her reputation would take a huge hit and it could have a knockon effect on her brand. When she finally won, it was a huge sense of relief, which she’s savouring.
"She’s moving forward with a smile on her face and a spring in her step.” ■
