Kimberley: ‘BEAR LOVES PLAYING WITH MY BOYS’
The Girls Aloud star dishes on playdates with Cheryl
You might think girlband members are destined for a life of glam parties and events, but Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh has insisted her and bandmate Cheryl prefer to be a bit more low key.
Kimberley – who shares Bobby, eight, Cole, six, and 23-month-old Nate with husband Justin Scott, 40 – revealed in a recent interview how Cheryl and her son Bear, six, are familiar faces at her house. “The most regular place that Cheryl and I see each other now is kids’ parties, which is definitely a sign of the times,” she said.
Giving an insight into their get-togethers, Kimberley said, “Bear and the boys love seeing each other. They never want to leave each other’s houses. When Bear comes over, he’s like, ‘No, I’m staying.’ I think he loves our house, because it’s crazy. There are so many of them running around and he loves playing with the boys.” Kimberley also shared how her own sons have taken Bear – who Cheryl shares with former One Direction star Liam Payne – under their wing. “Bobby looks after him, because he’s younger, whereas he and Cole are the same age, so they love it,” she said.

– and after the tragic loss of bandmate Sarah Harding, 39, back in 2021, Kimberley says the girls are “as tight as we’ve ever been”.
Supporting her friend at every step, the singer was quick to praise Cheryl’s recent acting debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story. “She was so good,” said Kimberley, adding, “I was so proud of her. It was really admirable that she would just dive head-first into a massive role like that.”■
