The wonderful world of DEMI’S SPOILT DOGGIES

Including breakout star Pilaf

-

You might have struggled to get your paws on Madonna tickets, but Demi Moore’s Chihuahua Pilaf managed just fine.

The Hollywood star, 61, is rarely seen without her little dog these days – she even brought her to see Madge perform in New York – and an insider close to the actress tells heat that Pilaf is just one of nine very pampered pooches. “Demi adores her nine dogs and fusses over them like crazy,” we’re told. “Pilaf literally goes everywhere with her – she’s her baby – but the rest of the dogs get treated like spoiled children, too.”

Fans were divided when they saw Pilaf dancing away to Material Girl, with some saying it’s cruel to bring your dog to such a loud and crowded environment. But, nuzzled into her celebrity mom’s papoose, others thought Pilaf appeared content. In normal-person terms, spoiling the dog might mean giving him your last slice of pizza or letting him sleep at the end of the bed, but in Demi’s world that means giving her dogs “their own chef” who, we’re told, cooks them different foods, depending on their dietary requirements. And as well as hanging out at A-list events, the pooches also enjoy (or maybe not) dressing in designer dog clothes and having their mum run their own social media accounts.

If you think that’s a lot,

Pilaf and the gang also see Demi’s “Ayurvedic doctor” – an ancient and holistic Indian medical system – and they get their own check-ups when she does.

But we’re told that Demi, who has three human daughters – Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 30 – with her ex-husband Bruce Willis, is a “natural born mom”, with our source saying, “She was so adoring of her own daughters when they were little, but now they’re grown and have their own lives.” So, where better to channel that maternal energy than into her four-legged friends?

She does a lot of the heavy lifting herself, too, which isn’t hard with a tiny pooch like Pilaf, as our source explains Demi is up at the crack of dawn every morning to take the hounds for a walk. “Because of all the coyotes in the area and the risk they pose to dogs, Demi is extremely paranoid and never lets her dogs outside on their own,” we’re told. “She has staff to help her, but she’s very particular and has to micromanage every detail.

“Even their water has to be a certain temperature. They’re not just pets, they’re her children.”■
