Cat: ‘PATRICK IS MY BIGGEST FAN’

As Cat Deeley settles into her new role on This Morning, with viewers calling her “lovely”, “genuine”, and “beautiful inside and out”, we’re told that it’s actually Cat’s husband Patrick Kielty who’s her biggest fan. And there’s no doubt the 47 year old – who made her debut on ITV’S flagship daytime show alongside Ben Shephard last month – can count on the unwavering support from Patrick, 53, who she married in 2012. “Patrick happily admits that Cat knows best,” a source tells heat. “She’s always been a go-getter, and that’s what he loves about her. He’s so happy that she got the This Morning gig and, having presented the show himself [in 2012 with Kate Thornton], he’s loved giving her tips and has even coached her a bit – she feels like she’s had a bit of an insider’s guide from the beginning.”
The couple made the “emotional” decision to move back to the UK from LA in 2020 with their sons Milo, eight, and James, five, after 15 years in the US – and our source says that Cat was the driving force behind that decision. “They decided to move back, because they felt had achieved what they had set out to do there,” we’re told. “It was Cat’s career that got them over there, and when she felt it was the right time to head back, Patrick was supportive – even though he misses some of the friends that they made there.”
The source adds, “Now that they’re settled back in the UK, they couldn’t be happier. Sure, Patrick sometimes wishes they were both still in the sunshine, but being home with family reminded them both of what is most important in life. It’s worked out so well for them.” ■
