Amy Hart: ‘I WORK OUT TO AGADOO’
The Love Island star, 31, on her me-time musts…
How does your ultimate self-care day look?
I like a lazy Sunday as our lives are so busy. I do love a roast dinner. If I don’t get a roast on a Sunday, I have to go for one on a Monday. I also like to do some skincare. I use the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm and a lot of Medik8 as I’m trying to get my skin nice for the wedding. I like to lay in my PJS all day – if I don’t have anywhere to be, I won’t get dressed. I love Chelsea Peers pyjamas – the whole family [fiancé Sam Rason and one-yearold Stanley] got matching pyjamas from them, and they’re really soft.
How do you like to work out?
I like going to the gym and I’m a bit weird, because I’ve realised the key to getting me into zone five on my Apple Watch on the cross trainer is to listen to old-school party cheese, like Agadoo and Do The Conga. If I put that music on, I can absolutely smash it.
What book has changed your life?
Books like The Secret.
I believe in manifesting, but I think you need to work at it. I never said, “I’m applying for Love Island ”, I always said, “I’m going on Love Island ”. People would be like, “Are you?” and I would be like, “Well, I’ve sent off my application form”, and they’d be like, “So, you’re not then”. I think channelling that mindset took away that nervous energy and kept me calm.
What are your favourite budget beauty buys?
I only ever use Real Techniques Beauty Blenders, which are really affordable. I also swear by Rimmel lip liners.
I use the shade Spice. I love that they’re cheap as I have so many handbags and they’re full of them. n
