A HELENSBURGH business has been named as Scotland’s Indian Restaurant of the Year at the Scottish Curry Awards.

It was another success for manager Subu and his team at the restaurant on James Street, who are no strangers to prizes.

Masala Twist were also named as the south west Indian Restaurant of the Year at the award ceremony which took place in Glasgow on Monday, April 15.

A spokesperson from the eatery said: “We like to thank all our customers and staff. We are very happy.”

We reported last year that the team won ‘Voters’ Best Choice Restaurant of the Year’ accolade for the south-west of

Scotland and the whole of the country.

The Masala Twist team is now competing in the annual Spice Awards and with restaurants across the UK at the British Curry Awards.

The event recognises and celebrates the talents and hard work of individuals and businesses within the Scottish curry industry.

These awards spotlight Scotland’s rich and diverse curry culture and encourages the continued growth and evolution of the industry.

Those shortlisted for this event have distinguished themselves with their exceptional quality, innovation, and consistency in offering a truly memorable dining experience.

A spokesperson for the 16th Scottish Curry Awards said: “We’re proud to once again be able to celebrate the finest in the Scottish curry scene, recognising the creativity, innovation, and exceptional service that have become synonymous with this beloved cuisine.

“The curry industry has become a vital part of our culture, and these awards recognised the exceptional talents of the individuals and businesses that make it so special. We’d like to congratulate all of our winners and highly commended recipients on their accomplishments.”
