The charity is particular­ly in need of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes.

The church’s Men’s Den group holds its next meeting on Friday, May 17. The group meets on the third Friday of each month and all men will receive a warm welcome. For more informatio­n contact Charlie on 0755 445 0231.

A work party will tackle the church grounds and village green on Saturday, May 25 from 10am until 12.30pm and all volunteer helpers are welcome to join in.

The church’s Knit and Natter group is held every Tuesday during May from 2pm until 4pm in the church hall. Drop in any time between 2pm and 4pm.

The group is not limited to knitters come along with your knitting, crochet or needlework or just come and enjoy a cup of coffee. and the company.

The next in the series of taster sessions being organised by the Lomond and Clyde Community Orchestra takes place on Saturday, May 11.

The orchestra is hoping to attract players who are learning an instrument and would like to try being part of a group, as well as people who perhaps played years ago and would like to give it a try again.

The sessions are open to players of all ages from 10 years and up.

All the sessions take place between 10am and 12 noon at St Michael’s Church Hall in William Street. If you can’t make it to this Saturday’s session, further events will be held on May 18 and 25.
