The reality TV star’s wedding prep plans

With only a couple of months to go before her wedding to businessman William Lee-Kemp – already postponed once from June – former The Only Way is Essex star Jess Wright is keeping everything crossed that Covid-19 will not ruin her big day.

“The plan at the moment is still to have the wedding in Majorca, but we’ll just have to wait and see,” she tells hello!. “Like I keep saying, as long as we’re healthy, that’s the most important thing.”

A lot of preparation has already gone into the day: the 35-year-old Girls No Filter presenter’s bridal party features 15 bridesmaids, including her sister Natalya and sister-in-law Michelle Keegan, while her brother Mark is master of ceremonies.

Plus Jess has already started working on her look. “It’s all about inner beauty, starting from within and taking care of yourself,” she says.

To this end, she’s been working with wellness brand Simone Thomas Wellness, which offers a range of supplements and meal plans that she hopes will boost her hair and complexion.

“It’s a one-stop shop and ticks all the boxes for everything a woman around my age needs,” she says. “Simone’s got a really lovely story and I really love the products.

“I’ve felt great and I keep getting compliments on my skin. I think our skin is really important at my age because we tend to neglect it when we’re growing up.”

Here, the future Mrs Lee-Kemp gives us a glimpse into her bridal beauty boot camp…

How are you feeling in the run-up to your wedding day, Jess?

“It’s mixed emotions. I’m apprehensive because I still feel like anything could happen, but I’m getting more and more excited.

“At this point, I feel like it’s 50/50 whether it will go ahead in September. My hen party got cancelled because it was in Dubai in May, which I was absolutely gutted about. But we’re trying to arrange a new one somewhere else, which is fun.”

Have you been able to stay positive despite these setbacks?

“Yes, I’ve been trying to. I was able to go bride shopping with my mum and sister, which was lovely, and last year, when we were allowed, we went out for a few lunches, which was really emotional and everything we always dreamt it would be.”

Can you tell us about your beauty regime ahead of the wedding?

“I’ll be prepping my hair before with the Beauty Works Argan Serum and I’ll have a really good facial. I get hydro facials at the Luxurious Beauty Boutique in London, so I’ll be getting a few of those before the wedding, too. I also love the Estée Lauder Double Wear range.”

And your hair and make-up?

“I’ll have a make-up artist and hairstylist and I have an idea of what I want. There are a few brides I’ve referenced, but I don’t want to give anything away. I think I’ll go for something quite classic.”

Do you have any goals you want to hit before the big day?

“I want to be strong and healthy and to clear my psoriasis, which I’m working on at the moment by taking my Simone Thomas Wellness supplements.

“It always seems to flare up if I have a weekend where I’m not being as healthy and if I don’t take my vitamins.”

What supplements do you take?

“During the day, I’m on the three-step Biotin Plan, so I take two Everyday Wellness pills (which are live-culture probiotics) first thing in the morning with a glass of cold water and I take the Super Greens with breakfast or just after. You can also decant them into a morning smoothie, which I love to do. William has started to use them, too.

“I also take one Biotin Brilliance for my hair, skin and nails, which is great for psoriasis, and I have two Skin Quenchers at night. If I have an event or photoshoot, I’ll take another two in the morning to really hydrate my skin.”

How are you looking after your wellbeing?

“This is a big time in my life – I’m settling down and want to have children soon, and I feel like my body should be in the best possible place. I’m upping my gym routines, I do a lot of HIIT, I use my Peloton bike and I’m also adding weight training into the mix. Swimming is also a great form of exercise.

“I’m drinking lots of water and I’ve been having allergy tests to find out if I have any issues. I’ve been trying to eat clean, but now restaurants are open that’s slightly more difficult. I love the smoothie bowls on the Simone Thomas Wellness plan and the colourful salads; they’re really nice. It’s so much easier to eat salad in the sun.”

What are your daily wellness habits?

“I have green juice most mornings – I make a batch at the beginning of every week with spinach, apple, ginger and celery.

“I like to manifest and turn my thoughts into something positive and I try to incorporate some form of exercise. I also love going on long dog walks.”

What are your favourite activewear brands?

“Gymshark and Sweaty Betty are really good. New Look does some nice pieces and I recently ordered some gymwear from Lavish Alice, which looks gorgeous. At the minute, I’ve got my collection with Pour Moi and there’s a beautiful glittery rose gold set that I love.”
