Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton marry in Oklahoma

Singers Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have tied the knot after six years together, exchanging vows in an intimate ceremony in a backyard chapel built for the occasion on the groom’s ranch in Oklahoma.

Gwen, 51, wore two custom-made Vera Wang wedding gowns for the day, while her veil was embroidered with her name and the names of her new husband and her sons Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and sevenyear-old Apollo, from her previous marriage.

Country singer Blake, 45, whom the No Doubt singer met when they both coached on the US version of The Voice, wore his signature outfit of blue jeans, tuxedo jacket, waistcoat and black tie.

They were joined by 40 guests, while the ceremony was officiated by The Voice host Carson Daly, who said afterwards: “The best way to describe it is it was perfectly them — the whole weekend and the marriage itself.

“It was as elegant and refined and cool as Gwen is, and it was as country and down-home and fun as Blake is.”

Carson added that he had encouraged the couple to write their own vows. “They were really reluctant to do that, but… it’s two of the best songwriters in the world, we want to hear your words.”

After cutting into a five- tier cake, the celebrations continued before the wedding party headed to Blake’s second home in nearby Lake Texoma for an extravagant fireworks display. Sharing a series of images from the day on Instagram, including one of her posing in her wedding gown and a pair of cowboy boots, Gwen wrote: “Dreams do come true!! @blakeshelton I love you.”
