LILY ALLEN PERFECTLY IN TUNE WITH NEW ROLE

In high spirits as she prepares for her West End theatre debut in the new play 2:22 – A Ghost Story, Lily Allen gave fashionistas chills by staging her own catwalk presentation on a London street.

Dressed head to toe (far right) in clothing from Kim Jones’s first ready-to-wear collection for Fendi womenswear, the 36-year-old singer looked supernaturally stylish.

Keen to share the love with her Instagram followers, Lily posted a number of photos on her account with the caption: “Congratulations [Kim Jones] on your first #Fendi RTW collection, i live for all of it, obvs but especially the #FendiFirst shoes and bags!”

It is not the first time she has shown her support for the British designer, who was appointed artistic director of Fendi womenswear and couture last year. Lily showcased one of his designs at the Tribeca Film Festival last month, joining her actor husband David Harbour, wearing Dior Homme, on the red carpet (right) and making it clear on social media that she is a big fan of both men.

“My husband is so hot and talented. So is my friend @mrkimjones, who designed BOTH our outfits,” she wrote.

Discussing her move into acting, Lily said 46-year-old Stranger Things star David, whom she married at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in a small ceremony led by an Elvis impersonator last September, had played a key role in encouraging her to take the plunge.

“Me and my husband both read the script together. I thought it was a great script but I’d never read a script before,” she said. “So I got him to check it and he was, like: ‘No, it’s really good.’”

And putting shivers down her fans’ spines, Lily has also promised her much-anticipated fifth album will be ready “soon”.
