Back in the studio with Sir Rod

Ronnie Wood has reunited with his Faces bandmate Sir Rod Stewart and their former drummer Kenney Jones to make new music.

The trio have been in the studio together for the first time since the band split up in 1975. It follows several stage reunions, the last being at last year’s Brit Awards, when they performed their 1971 hit Stay With Me.

Ronnie, 74, who has successfully overcome his second bout of cancer, has also been working with Sir Mick Jagger on a 40th anniversary re-release of the Rolling Stones album Tattoo You.

Speaking to The Times newspaper last week, he said: “I’ve had a front-row seat on some amazing rock’n’roll projects these past couple of weeks. I’m making every day count.”
