a twinkle in his eye and a broad grin on his face, Prince George is growing up fast.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared this gorgeous image of their eldest son (right) to mark his eighth birthday last week. The happy snap shows him having fun in the Norfolk countrysid­e earlier this month.

Taken by his proud mother Kate, the third in line to the throne is seen perched on the bonnet of a Land Rover Defender, in a touching nod to the late Duke of Edinburgh, who died in April aged 99.

Prince Philip was a huge fan of Land Rover’s all- terrain vehicles and helped to design

With a long summer ahead of him, George looks ready for adventure
