SIR MICK JAGGER sees son Gabriel marry Anouk Winzenried – ahead of his 78th birthday
WEDS IN A MAGICAL COUNTRY WEDDING AT RUPERT MURDOCH’S OXFORDSHIRE ESTATE
There was plenty of Satisfaction all round as Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger’s son Gabriel tied the knot with his Swiss socialite love Anouk Winzenried.
The intimate wedding was held in the picturesque countryside grounds of Rupert Murdoch’s £11m Oxfordshire estate, Holmwood House; Gabriel’s mum, supermodel Jerry Hall, is married to the media tycoon.
The 23-year-old groom, in a navy tailored tuxedo accessorised with a blush tie and cream boutonnière, and Anouk – stunning in a simple ivory slip dress with spaghetti straps and with her brunette hair swept back in a halfup, half- down style to show off seahorse-shaped drop earrings – met in Mustique in 2019.
In January 2020 the couple announced their engagement in a public statement that read: “The engagement is announced between Gabriel, son of Jerry Murdoch of Texas, and Mick Jagger of London, and Anouk, daughter of Jan in ea nd Andrea Winzenried of Switzerland.”
Due to restrictions resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, Anouk and Gabriel, who trained as a journalist at The Times under his stepfather and is founder of multiformat media group WhyNow, were forced to postpone their nuptials twice. But it seems third time’s a charm.
With Sir Mick and Jerry both in attendance, the couple enjoyed their day along with family and friends.
Gabriel is the fourth of Sir Mick’s eight children to get married, after Karis, 50, Jade, 49 – whose split from DJ husband Adrian Fillary emerged last month – and 35-year-old James.
His four other siblings are models Georgia May, 29, Elizabeth, 37 – both of whom Sir Mick shares with exwife Jerry – 22-year-old Lucas, whose mother is Luciana Gimenez, and fouryear- old Deveraux with Sir Mick’s girlfriend Melanie Hamrick.
BIRTHDAY BOY
The Jagger family jubilations did not stop there, as the proud father of the groom celebrated his 78th birthday days later, with a star-studded glamping bash at his home. Guests included his Rolling Stones bandmate Ronnie Wood, Spandau Ballet star Gary Kemp and supermodel Kate Moss.
In a picture posted on his Instagram page, the rocker was seen leaning against a tent, looking casually chic in a black and white patterned shirt and chinos, with the caption: “Thanks so much for all your birthday wishes.”
Sir Mick’s children were quick to comment on the Start Me Up singer’s post, with Lucas writing: “Love u Dadda. Great picture wonder who took it,” followed by Georgia May, who added a string of purple love hearts to her birthday message.
