ANT McPARTLIN and ANNE-MARIE CORBETT seal their love in a wedding ceremony

He
is one half of TV’s mostloved double act but at the weekend, Ant McPartlin formed another special union as he married fiancée Anne- Marie Corbett in the heart of the Hampshire countryside.
With his co-presenter and best friend Declan “Dec” Donnelly by his side, the 45- year- old multiaward- winning Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! host tied the knot last Saturday.
Choosing the 13th- century St Michael’s Church in Heckfield as the setting for their nuptials, Ant, who has long been known as one of the most popular men in showbiz, and Anne-Marie sealed their love.
In the countdown to their big day, the bride and groom-to-be had shown they were the perfect match at this year’s Wimbledon tennis championship, putting on a loved-up display at Centre Court. The couple, who have been together since 2018, looked the picture of happiness as they laughed, smiled and posed for a selfie together.
WORDS OF LOVE
Ant has spoken fondly of AnneMarie, whom he first met nine years ago, when she became his personal assistant, saying: “AnneMarie is the fundamental reason for the great change in my life. She’s been my rock. She’s a beautiful soul. We’re very happy.”
He proposed at their London home l a s t Christmas Eve , presenting Anne-Marie, who has two teenage daughters from her previous marriage, with a stunning diamond ring estimated to have cost more than £200,000, which the Geordie star is believed to have designed himself.
“I’m a romantic at heart. You know, there were flowers and afternoon tea in front of the Christmas tree. Lovely. It was lovely,” he later said.
As for whether Dec would be his best man, as he had been when Ant married make- up artist Lisa Armstrong in 2006, he said: “[Dec] was very good last time… But I suppose it depends on what kind of wedding we have.”
“It’s between me and the dog,” joked Dec, for whom Ant was best man in August 2015, when he
married his business manager Ali Astall, with whom he now has twoyear-old daughter Isla.
FRIENDS FOREVER
The two friends, who have won a record 18 consecutive National Television Awards, last week enjoyed a relaxing round of golf ahead of the celebrations.
Dressed in co- ordinating blue shorts and polo shirts, they were seen laughing together as they searched for their lost balls on one hole before teeing off again.
But while he may be at home on the golf course, Ant’s heart lies elsewhere. Asked during last year’s I’m a Celebrity… where his happy place was, he replied: “At home, with my girlfriend and the kids.”
No doubt his answer remains the same – only now he can say: H “My wife.”
