RONALDO’S GIRL IS A GREEN GODDESS AS SHE SCORES AN AWARD IN SPAIN
Being in love with one of the world’s most celebrated footballers does not stop you from having goals of your own. And Cristiano Ronaldo’s fiancée Georgina Rodríguez is proving to be quite the player on the charity scene. At this year’s Starlite Gala in Marbella, Spain, she received an award in recognition of her work with charities, including the New Future Foundation and # YoMeCorono, which funds research into coronavirus vaccines and treatment.
Georgina, who famously got together with the sports star after they met while she was working in a Gucci store, accepted the honour from the event’s hosts, actor Antonio Banderas ( right with fashion designer Paloma Cuevas ) and Starlite group president Sandra García-Sanjuán. “[I’m] thrilled and very happy,” Georgina told our sister title ¡Hola! afterwards. She also paid tribute to her mother “for all the values she instilled in me”. But she said her main thoughts were of those she was helping.
“All the children… and people in need, who little by little, I’m managing to raise awareness of.”
With Cristiano (above with Georgina) in Italy for his Juventus commitments, the spotlight was on his fiancée, who dazzled in an emerald-green gown (right). And her profile looks set to grow even more, as she is to star in her own Netflix reality series, Soy Georgina. Sharing a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram recently, she captioned it: “Are you ready?”
