WILL KIRK IS JOINED BY T. V. CO-STARS AS HE WEDS ON AN ‘EPIC DAY’ FULL OF LOVE AND LAUGHTER
‘ THE REPAIR SHOP’ HEART-THROB
They had to postpone their wedding for a year, but TV favourite Will Kirk and his fiancée Polly Snowdon have finally tied the knot in a day he described as the best of his life.
Will’s The Repair Shop co-stars were among guests who watched the couple make their vows at a Gloucestershire hotel, where Polly looked stunning in a floor-length white gown with lace sleeves and Will was dapper in a smart blue suit, white shirt and patterned tie.
“The best day of my life,” wrote Will on Instagram, alongside photos from the big day. “Thank you to all who attended and to those that helped to make it happen.”
Other snaps show the newlyweds walking down the aisle covered in confetti after exchanging vows and Will lovingly planting a kiss on his bride’s head.
Among the guests at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester were Jay Blades, Brenton West, Suzie Fletcher and Kirsten Ramsay, who appear alongside Will in the hit BBC1 show, which sees expert craftsmen bring people’s treasured heirlooms back to life.
Viewing figures more than doubled to 6.5 million during lockdown and Will, a specialist in antique furniture restoration, was bewildered to find he’d become a TV heart-throb. Sadly for his female fans, he’s very much off the market now.
Will and Polly, a child psychologist, live together in Wandsworth, south-west London, where he runs his workshop, and last month he told of a landmark in his fiancée’s life, sharing the news with his 127,000 Instagram followers.
“After years of hard work, I’m immensely proud of my fiancée for becoming a doctor,” the 36- year- old wrote alongside a graduation cap emoji and a photo of Polly.
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
Last year, Will told TV host Lorraine Kelly how the pandemic had forced the couple to delay their wedding.
“We were supposed to be getting married in August and unfortunately, that didn’t happen, so we’re going to get married next year,” he said.
And, according t o wedding photographer Siobhan Beales, who shared some of her pictures online, the big day was certainly worth the wait.
“Introducing the new Mr and Mrs,” she said. “What an epic day yesterday with this beautiful pair and their nearest and dearest, they certainly deserved the best day after postponing. And boyyyyy did they do that, a dance floor I won’t be forgetting about in a while! Thank you so much for having me along for the ride you two!!”
