Actress Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with the degenerative disease multiple sclerosis (MS).
The star revealed the news to fans in a tweet, writing: “A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. It’s been a tough road.”
Actress Selma Blair, who was diagnosed with MS herself three years ago, tweeted back: “Loving you always. Always here. As are our kids. Beating us up with love.”
Christina, 49, who found fame as a teenager in the US sitcom Married… With Children and won an Emmy for her role in Friends, underwent a double mastectomy for breast cancer in 2008, from which she has made a full recovery. She has ten-year-old daughter Sadie with husband Martyn LeNoble.
