THE DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE
Backs plan to help empower young people
The Duke of Cambridge has called for “urgent change” as he backed an ambitious plan by a youth charity set up in the name of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales.
Writing the foreword for The Diana Award’s five-year Future Forward strategy, which aims to empower young people to be change-makers in the postpandemic world, he said: “Organisations like The Diana Award have never been more important in nurturing the talent of young people and working with them to change the world for the better.
“The world has changed significantly in the 20 years since The Diana Award was established in my mother’s memory. However, challenges remain, and urgent change is needed so that young people inherit a world of which we can be proud.”
