IS A PERFECT DOUBLE FOR A ROCKETMAN

Heh as said :“He reminds me of me when I first started out,” and the resemblance between Sir Elton John and Ed Sheeran was not hard to spot in a photo (left) Ed shared with fans in the run-up to the release of his new single.

Dressed in sequins, feathers and over-the-top pink glasses, the singer’s outfit drew inevitable comparisons with Elton’s outrageous stage costumes from the 1970s. “My brand new single Shivers is out Friday,” Ed’s caption explained. “I glammed up for the occasion.”

A later post ( right) showed him modelling a more low-key outfit, albeit accessorised with a feathered friend. “I rented a parrot for the video, don’t let that be a waste,” he urged followers.

It is not the first time the singer has been influenced by Sir Elton’s style recently. Earlier this month, the music legend persuaded Ed to ditch his boring Bad Habits and take a more colourful approach to dressing for the GQ Men of the Year awards – with a little help from Donatella Versace. “Elton approved – it’s very him,” Ed said of his Versace jacket.
