TO STERILISE THE JARS This process will help keep the jam fresh for longer. It is important that the jars are new or with at least new lids.

1. Put the jars upside down in a pan full of water (the water should be 15cm above the jars) and place over medium heat. Wait for the water to boil and leave for 20 minutes. Add the lids to the pan and continue to sterilise for 10 minutes.

2. Spread a clean cloth on your work surface and carefully place the jars upside down on top and let them dry well.
