Fellow model Kaia Gerber exuded class in a custom white Prada gown covered in iridescent sequins, while Emily Ratajkowski wore a sheer Atelier Versace haute couture gown.

Rapper and singer Bad Bunny, another of the event’s co-chairs, showcased his style credentials in a custom-made outfit from the Maison Margiela Artisanal Collection by John Galliano, complete with a corset, hat and smoking jacket.

The gala is celebrated for celebrities’ outré fashion choices and this year saw Lana Del Rey donning a gown by Seán McGirr for Alexander McQueen covered in tree root prints, paired with a dramatic headpiece featuring hawthorn branches.

Rapper Nicki Minaj brought all the flowers to the yard in her blooming Marni mini dress and South African singer Tyla modelled an unusual custom-made Balmain gown. Sculpted from sand, it was so tight that she had to be carried up the steps to the museum’s entrance.

Actress Brie Larson’s Prada dress was designed to evoke the passage of time with a tented sheer purple overlay, while rapper Doja Cat donned a head-turning maxi-length wetlook T-shirt from Vetements.

PARTYING INTO THE NIGHT

Rapper Cardi B, who required nine attendants to arrange the enormous black skirt of her Windowsen gown, later changed into a red silk dress to attend her own afterparty, where guests included model Coco Rocha and rapper Offset.

Kendall Jenner sported two different white outfits for her post-gala celebrations, including a Givenchy dress with an angel-inspired corset.

Fashionista Janelle Monáe changed into a dress from Area, featuring huge googly eyes, to attend Usher’s Secret Garden gathering, while Rita Ora left nothing to the imagination in a sheer gown at the Mulberry Bar party, where she was joined by stars including Shakira and Matt Damon with wife Luciana.

Formula 1 driver Sir Lewis Hamilton posed with designer Stella McCartney, former tennis champion Serena Williams and model Karlie Kloss at the TikTok party, and US singersongwriter Camila Cabello was spotted at FKA Twigs’ bash.
