A police spokesperson said “At around 8.45am officers from Devon and Cornwall Police conducted a planned operation at an address in Pidgley Road, Dawlish in order to search a private property under a warrant issued by Exeter Crown Court.
“Three people have been arrested following today’s operation; A 39-year-old man was been arrested this morning on suspicion of money laundering offences; A 22-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man have both been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
“Members of the local policing team will remain in the area for the rest of the day to provide reassurance.”
Superintendent Matt Lawler said: “Entry to the premises was initially undertaken by firearms officers in order to ensure the safety of all parties.
"As soon as that was established they were able to withdraw and unarmed search-trained officers supported by local detectives completed a full search of the premises.
“While the presence of armed officers inevitably creates some local interest, no-one should be alarmed – in fact I would encourage residents to be reassured by the fact that we undertake these operations in a very considered and thorough way to ensure the safety of all concerned – including those inside the property, anyone in the immediate area, and of course the officers involved.”
