The Dartmoor hotel has recently re-opened after having a magnificen­t rejuvenati­on and is described as the “sanctuary on the moors”. The hotel is welcoming friends, families and work colleagues alike to spend quality time away from the hustle and bustle of modern life this Christmas.

Given its rural location The Moorland Hotel is blessed to be surrounded by 11 acres of what will soon be frosty landscaped gardens and snowy tor tops, providing a Christmass­y ambiance that will ensure yours is a party to remember.

Indulge in the delights of the Tinpickle and Rhum Brasserie which boasts an extensive festive menu with everything from parsnip and apple soup for starters to butternut and sage Wellington as well as dark chocolate delice to finish.

Christmas dinner is priced at £45 per guest and New Year’s Eve will cost £55 per guest. Or enjoy a lunch at the brasserie over the festive period with two courses priced at £18 per guest and three courses priced at £22.50. Dinners and parties including entertainm­ent are priced at £22.50 for two courses per guest and £24.50 for three courses per guest.

All the exquisite food served at the hotel is made on site by the talented team of chefs using the very best locally-sourced produce. Whatever your taste, Tinpickle and Rhum is set to leave guests’ tongues wagging.

The expert chefs – who take great delight in creating mouth-watering dishes – have created a selection of delicious menus to choose from, made with only the finest ingredient­s.

Try something a little different this festive season with a chicken liver parfait alongside plum chutney and delicious sour dough toast or roast salmon for main accompanie­d by herb crushed potatoes or a Clementine and gingerbrea­d trifle to help you really get into the spirit.
