Dartmouth proved far too strong for New Cross in a one-sided encounter at Strap Lane.

The Riversiders were 27-0 up at the break and did not let up after the interval.

Tom Clark gave them the lead before Richard Lobb crossed and Matt Hawkins converted. Alex Parrott, Clark and Karl Caunter added further scores

After the interval, Ricky Seymour, Xavier Picot, Aaron Hunt, Ryan Burrows, Caunter and veteran hooker Reg Varney added further tries for Dartmouth.

Dartmouth skipper John Dingle said he got the reaction he hoped for from the players in the wake of their defeat by Exeter Saracens seven days earlier.

"Training paid off as we were more in control of our own set plays,” said Dingle.

“We controlled the game and the team supported players when they broke the line of defence.

“Lack of discipline in previous weeks has cost us points and territory on the pitch, but we were much improved.

“We have bounced back with a convincing win and look forward to this Saturday, when we entertain North Tawton.”
