TEIGNMOUTH will find the red carpet rolled out when they get to Okehampton – but it won’t be for them!

Okey have used a cramped second-team pitch for nearly a season and a half while their first XV surface had new drainage put in.

Devon RFU officials have been invited to attend the first match on the restored pitch and open the Ted Cann Stand. They will receive the red-carpet treatment.

Cann, who died last year, was involved with Okehampton for more than 70 years as a player and later administrator.
