Leaders not punished for past mistakes

as without you we couldn't afford to run a event this size.

Thank you to our security and medical team, our traffic management team and our barrier team for installing so many barriers in a sort period of time, and getting them all back in.

A massive thank you to Sidvale who travelled from Sidmouth, and sponsor Babbacombe Inn, and all the other amazing local entries from Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot, Kingsbridge, Chudleigh, Dawlish and youth groups from South Brent and Ipplepen.

And a massive thank you to you for coming out to watch and donate to charities and to keep the carnival alive.

And a big thanks to Inter-line sponsors Breeze and Fleet Walk shopping for starting the day off..

COMING hard on the heels of a damning United Nations dossier that condemned the Government for unnecessarily plunging millions of British children into poverty, the Herald Express reports that our own dysfunctional council stands accused of underfunding local schools to the tune of hundreds of thousands of pounds (Call for parent power, November 21).

These attacks on those in society least able to defend themselves come courtesy of a socio-economic time bomb set by the Conservative and Liberal Democrats after the 2010 general election, with Messrs Cameron, Osborne and Clegg then walking away from witnessing the full impact of their disastrous austerity policies. And where are these gentlemen now?

Cameron is writing his memoirs, Osborne is running a newspaper and Clegg has flown away to America to make his fortune.

Cursed is the nation to have been run by this trio of political chancers.
