Play group helps beat holiday hunger

PLAY Torbay has been incredibly busy this Summer and served 1,312 lunches to those most in need, in partnershi­p with organisati­ons including the Windmill Centre Torquay, FareShare and Feed a Child Torbay.

This was done during playful and creative sessions which included arts, crafts, drama, dance, music, forest skills, cooking and lots more. All the cooking was be carried out by volunteers; the Windmill Centre kindly made space freely available and Feed a Child Torbay provided cakes and other food stuffs; FareShare supported the scheme by providing the links to bi-weekly supermarke­t donations.
