Kofi Shaw's hat-trick helped early South Devon League Premier leaders Buckland Athletic Reserves to a third successive win last Saturday.

Bucks were away to newly promoted Totnes & Dartington and were 3-1 up at half-time, Shaw with two and Liam Drew with the other for Buckland and Daniel Block on target for Tots.

Shaw then completed his treble after the break with Joshua Squires pulling a second back for the home side.

The other three Premier games finished all square. However, the Pirates were without key players including Simon Hannaford and Andy Davis.

The highest scoring Premier game was at Wall Park where hosts Brixham AFC Reserves put away five goals in the last half hour to rescue a 5-5 draw with visiting Roselands.

The Reds' goals came from Curtis Clarke (two), Dom Osbourne, Adam Blackburn and Alex Booth.

In Division One, goals from Alistair Chuchuk and recent signing Corey Brennan brought Bovey Tracey Reserves swift revenge over a Watcombe Wanderers Reserves side who had beaten them 3-0 on the opening day.

Shane Isaac netted for the Greens but Bovey won 2-1 this time out.

The other Division One sides were playing in the first round of the Firewatch Devon Senior Cup. Free-scoring table leaders Ivybridge Town Reserves were at it again as they won 5-1 away at Newtown Reserves.

Unbeaten Paignton Saints also enjoyed a 5-1 victory over fellow South Devon League side Torbay Police.

Jamie Micklewright added another two goals to his tally with Javan Wright, Ben Brown and Scott Troth joining him on the score-sheet; Bobby Chancellor scored the Bees' consolation.

There were two other all-SDL ties. Salcombe Town's perfect start to the campaign continued at the expense of Newton Abbot Spurs Reserves,

With the exception of Meadowbrook, all lower division sides were also dispatched.

Barton Athletic went down 3-0 at Kentisbeare, Abbotskerswell crashed 6-0 at home to Lapford, Halwill overcame Waldon Athletic Reserves 5-1 and Lympstone came away from Harbertonford with a 5-2 win. Buckfastleigh Rangers got to extra-time at Windmill FC Reserves – but two goals in extra-time saw the hosts through 5-3.

A healthy contingent of SDL sides made it through to the second round of the Devon Intermediate Cup.

Barton Athletic Reserves enjoyed the most comfortable margin with a 7-2 home win over Bradworthy Reserves. Galmpton United and Watts Blake Bearne AFC continued their prolific starts with 6-3 victories over Honiton Town Thirds and The Village Inn respectively.

Newton Abbot 66 scored four in the first half as they knocked out Kingsley Wizards 5-2 at Osborne Park, while Kingsbridge & Kellaton United put their league woes to one side as they won 5-1 at home to Activate Reserves.
